Research Question

How does Haruki Murakami’s Implementation of the theme of desires change based on Stanford’s Philosophical Theories regarding desire?

Significance

Philosophy books are long. But the insights they carry are mind boggling. Because of this, it's important to find alternatives to gaining knowledge through a simpler yet similar way. Literature is one of those short cuts. Literature, especially magical realism, carry ideas of philosophy throughout their book in a vivid and imagination concentrated way. Now that scientist have identified the link between literature and philosphy, its important to define and detail that connection. If literature can define how we percive desire, how is it that we percidve desire? Which theory hold the most implementation over time? Do we act on our desires, merely find pleasure in them, or something else. That is what I hope to answer. Our conenction to literature, desire, and the philosphy of both.
